Doing a little housekeeping on my YouTube, focusin

Doing a little housekeeping on my YouTube, focusing on upcoming original music, talks, wellness, and uplifting content.

My upcoming singles and EP are leaning more into the reggae genre. I still have my pop and acoustic music planned for future releases as well, all uplifting and positive.

The instrumental in this channel trailer is from an earlier song I wrote called Jar of Tears. My good friend Alex Martin-Blanken reproduced it for me, and his son Asim Martin-Blanken played the drums on the track. 🥁

If you’d like to subscribe, you can find me on YouTube at @Sashani. Thank you so much for your support. It’s been quite a journey. 🎤🎶❤️

This Thanksgiving week, I am grateful for a roof over my head, food to eat, running water, and electricity. Many people in parts of Jamaica still do not have those basics after Hurricane Melissa. Thankfully my family is fine. My heart goes out to the other families who are not. 🖤🇯🇲

When I was a child, we lost our home to a hurricane. Right after the eye of the storm passed, the roof collapsed and our house flooded, leaving us temporarily homeless. We took shelter in an empty condo next door once the storm eased. The following year, that condo burned down in a house fire.

That experience has stayed with me. I wrote a song in support of the people of Jamaica and will be recording it as soon as possible.

If you would like to help support Jamaica directly, you can donate to Hurricane Melissa relief efforts through the nonprofit organization @directrelief, which is currently on the ground in Jamaica. The donation link is in my bio.

Thank you for every share and every act of support.

Experiencing the wonder in the air as the sun dips below the horizon in Kingston, Jamaica. Amidst this beauty, we’re reminded that every horizon offers a new promise and every sunset is a chance to reflect on the beauty that surrounds us. 🌅⁣
