Thank you so much for all the beautiful birthday wishes, it truly means a lot. It’s been good and relaxing. I spent some time reflecting on childhood birthdays today. 🤍🎂 Yesterday, I started recording my first single, “Jamaica Shine,” as a tribute to my country. Feeling very grateful. ❤️❤️❤️

This Thanksgiving week, I am grateful for a roof o

This Thanksgiving week, I am grateful for a roof over my head, food to eat, running water, and electricity. Many people in parts of Jamaica still do not have those basics after Hurricane Melissa. Thankfully my family is fine. My heart goes out to the other families who are not. 🖤🇯🇲

When I was a child, we lost our home to a hurricane. Right after the eye of the storm passed, the roof collapsed and our house flooded, leaving us temporarily homeless. We took shelter in an empty condo next door once the storm eased. The following year, that condo burned down in a house fire.

That experience has stayed with me. I wrote a song in support of the people of Jamaica and will be recording it as soon as possible.

Asthma and severe allergies made life really challenging, but I’m doing much better now. 🌿⁣
⁣
During that time, I turned to songwriting. What started as a way to cope has grown into something bigger than I imagined. With the encouragement of my vocal coach @summerwatsonofficial, I’m taking the next step, and I’m so excited to finally announce that I’m working on my first EP of original music. 🎤✨ Yay! 😄⁣

You know me, I’m always writing. I also recently submitted my script Pardon My Dust for consideration, partially inspired by my own journey with allergies. As part of the process, I had to share a little about where I’m from and what film means to me, here’s a snippet of that submission video. 🎬⁣
